The judicial custody of Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) leaders Ashutosh Ranka and Saurav Das was extended for two days on Monday by the Special Executive Magistrate (SEM) Court in Delhi, according to officials.
Both Das and Ranka have been taken back to the Tihar jail.
The duo were sent to five days of judicial custody on October 14 after they entered Jantar Mantar, which had been denotified as a designated protest site, by scaling its locked gates. The CJP leaders maintained that they had unfurled the national flag and raised slogans.
CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke on Sunday alleged that the release of Das and Ranka was being delayed by the state.
